Missions and Outreaches
Mesa View Church sponsors many local outreaches as well as outreaches into foreign countries. For the size of church that is Mesa View, it is amazing the impact we have on our community and even other parts of the world.
Local Outreaches
Golden Family of Churches
Mesa View is part of the Golden Family of Churches (GFOC), an inter-faith
coordination of resources from the body of Christ comprised of several
churches that reach out to our local community
with the ministry of the Gospel as well as tangible services for those in need.
The Golden Family of Churches is comprised of 10 churches from Golden from different denominations including: Presbyterian, Evangelical Free, Seventh Day Adventist, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, and others.
Feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless, screened families participate in the program with host churches from the Golden Family of Churches providing shelter, food, showers, laundry facilities and a place to sleep. Member churches provide an evening meal during a scheduled rotation.
Assisting many with much needed health care, the Golden Family of Churches Health Ministry (GFOCHM) sponsors an annual health fair, flu shots (subsidized for those in need), Bonfils blood drives and a parish nurse training program.

Buffalo Bill Days
For many years now Mesa View has the priviledge of serving the local
community during the largest annual event in Golden: Buffalo Bill Days.
Mesa View provides and maintains ‘Family Rest Stations’,
which are portable toilets and baby care tables for people and families
to take care of necessities during the event. The body of Christ from
Mesa View maintain the Family Rest Stations throughout the weekend so
that the thousands of people who attend Buffalo Bill Days in Golden
can enjoy the attractions. Many people have commented that they remember
Mesa View as the church that takes care of the toillets!

As Chaplain with the Golden Fire Department, Pastor Kevin Kirby
has the honor of leading the invocation prayer at the start of Buffalo
Bill Days, as well as helping to lead the Sunday morning joint worship
service held at one of the community parks.
Members from the Mesa View worship team also participate with the Sunday
morning joint worship service as part of a joint worship team comprised
from worship team members from the Golden Family of
Churches. During the Sunday morning joint worship service we have
the priviledge of helping to publicly lead a time of inter-faith worship
during Buffalo Bill Days. This is a great outreach opportunity to reach
the local community as well as those visiting from the surrounding Denver-metro
area with the Gospel. Please contact us for more information.
Feed More People

A few people at Mesa View have been involved for many years with a humannitary organization called ‘Feed More People’ (www.feedmorepeople.org). The folks involved with Feed More People gather and distribute food in downtown Denver to thousands of homeless at a time. This is a great ministry opportunity to be the hands and feet of the body of Christ as we minister to the homeless. Contact stacy@feedmorepeople.org or eddie@feedmorepeople.org for further information.
